Breck…but first let me take a selfie.
I’m a little late with this video, but who cares it rocks! This was most of our first times to Breckenridge, and we rented an insane cabin at 11,000 ft elevation on a neighboring mountain. To give you an idea of how high that is, there are only 3 chairlifts that go higher at Breckenridge. The entire time we were there it snowed on top of their massive powder week just before so the snow was perfect and fresh every day. All the fresh snow came at a price, we had tons of wind and nothing close to a bluebird day, so the lighting was less than ideal for filming. Guess that means we must go back!
This was my first real experience living at a very high elevation and I learned it is no joke! When we were in the village at Breck it wasn’t bad, the second we stepped into our cottage I was hitting the oxygen can like the locals hit the bong. One trip up the stairs and I felt like I was ready for a heart transplant. Despite the oxygen issues it was not going to stop me from jumping off the balconies into the 7ft of fresh powder below. To everyone on the trip, thanks for making it an incredible experience and next time workout on the roof of your house we need all the elevation training we can get! 2014 has been great so far and let’s hope there are many more trip vids to come.
Hope you enjoy the edit.
Still balding but not bald,
